Please get in touch with us if you can't find the information you need.

  • What are Tiger Tails?

Tiger Tails are split synthetic tubes installed over power lines to provide a useful visual indication of live overhead power lines. They help protect workers such as roofers, painters and builders from accidental contact with live power lines.

  • What is the process?

If Tiger Tails are required you will be sent a close approach consent form that must be completed and returned prior to the installation. Tiger Tails are then supplied and installed by our experienced team and hired for the duration of the work. Once the work is complete we will remove them from site.

  • How much will it cost?

Tiger Tails are hired to the customer at a per unit cost for the duration of the work. The cost includes the supply and installation, hire and removal of the Tiger Tails. Contact us for a free no obligation quote.

  • Are Tiger Tails available for public service lines?

No sorry, our service is only available for private service lines. Should you require lines and/or equipment that form part of the Vector Network sleeved, you will need to contact Vector directly.

  • What safety measures should be followed when working near overhead power lines?

Tiger Tails provide a visual indication of overhead power lines, however they do not eliminate the hazard of live electricity. It is still important to be aware of the minimum approach distances as set out in ECP34 when working near overhead power lines.
